Step: Contact the property management company to determine the policy for installing charging piles in the community. Currently, the general requirement for installing charging piles is to have self owned parking spaces. In addition, some charging pile manufacturers may not be suitable for installing charging piles due to their early construction. If installing charging piles requires additional technical equipment investment, it is necessary to communicate with the property management in advance.
Step 2: Investigate the ranking of charging pile manufacturers for their parking spaces. This type of investigation refers to the owner's own on-site inspection, which is very important for cost savings. Generally, there are many distribution rooms in residential areas, and the owner can choose a new energy charging pile manufacturer that is closer to the parking space. This can save a lot of costs during installation.
Step 3: Provide relevant materials, including a copy of your ID card, proof of parking space ownership (which can be issued by the property management), and installation instructions agreed upon by the charging pile manufacturer and property management to the staff. Currently, Beijing's power companies only accept applications from charging pile companies, and owners cannot apply on their own.
Step 4: On site inspection. Engineers from Li Company, the manufacturer of electric vehicle charging piles, will notify the charging pile company at a certain time. At that time, property electricians, charging pile companies, power companies, and owners will all be on site to determine the final construction plan.
Step 5: Installation of car charging piles. After determining the construction plan, it is time for installation and construction. Depending on the conditions of each community and the location of the garage, the construction time may vary. Some can be completed in just 2 hours, while others can take a whole day to complete for pure electric car charging piles.
Step 6: Acceptance. After the construction is completed, the charging station company will report to the power company, and the power company will conduct on-site acceptance. If the acceptance is qualified, a seal will be applied to the solution of the electric meter charging station. Then the power company will make the corresponding electric card, which will be collected and handed over to the owner by the charging station company, or the owner can go to the power supply bureau to collect it themselves.
Building a charging pile involves many steps, which means that practitioners need to master a lot of knowledge and skills, such as understanding the working principle of AC/DC charging piles, safety inspection of customized charging piles, on-site survey and drawing, installation and construction, machine debugging, fault maintenance, etc. The survey and drawing section alone includes the ability to conduct on-site surveys, material list statistics, CAD based charging pile ODM drawings, etc. It can be said that the existence of these skill requirements has hindered the development of many electricians in the charging pile industry.
